English Writing Class

      Today I read an article about space. It said that the sun is a special star. It differs from other stars concerning things such as mass and age. In addition,  Earth differs too. People could notice that a Ptolemaic system was wrong.

      A movie which I really like was called Shin Godzilla. It was made in 2016. Anno Hideaki directed it, and it won Japan Academy Prize.      It took a place in 2027 and was  set in Japan. A very giant creature suddenly appeared in Tokyo bay and destroyed various things in Tokyo. Finally, people succeeded in freezing it with the cooperation of them.      I liked it because its set and action scenes were much longer scale compared to other movies.

I often read comic books when I feel depressed. Reading can help me to forget bad memories. I have read various comic books. I especially like “Detective Conan”, its English title is "Case Closed", above all the others. I have all  the volumes of it. Its number is one hundred! When the latest issue is sailed, I buy it as soon as possible. I wish I read it until the last episode.  One of my favorite character is Kudou Yusaku. He is main character's father. He is very wise and clear-thinking. He rarely appears in this series because he is too smart!  Many matters will be resolved too easily if he apears all cases. I think he is the smartest character in it. I can't wait for the next volume.

I often use a smartphone to do various things. For example, thinking up what to cook, communicating with my friends, helping me study, and so on. Especially, I want to talk about games. I like baseball very much, so I often play baseball games which are called "Pawapuro" and "Purosupi" respectively. I've been playing the former lately. I have decided not to be charged extra to game applications. However, it is too hard for me to keep my word because useful characters which are very attractive are appeared one after another!

     There are six women in this picture and everyone is smiling in the corridor. One of them is using a smartphone. She may be using it to take pictures. The woman in the center wears a beautiful crown, necklace and dress. So I think they hold a party for her.

Do you know Ekiden? It is a long-distance relay race. When I was a child, I watched a player running fast outstandingly in the Hakone ekiden. From then on, I came to like watching ekiden on TV. Espicially I can't overlook a race on new year. By the way, a race called the Intercollegiate Tournament will be held next Sunday. I'm looking forward to it. I often handicap before a race.
